OmniAir to Hold its First Official Workshop Under USDOT FHWA Cooperative Agreement
The workshop will be held in conjunction with IBTTA's Annual Meeting in Dallas, TX, and is on Sunday September 17th from 2:00PM - 5:00PM. The objective is to collect input on industry requirements for a national 5.9GHz DSRC/WAVE standards compliance certification program.

Devices and systems from different manufacturers will interact and will need to interoperate. As such, a Certification Program is needed to provide a standard, reliable, and repeatable process that results in unambiguous certification of device compliance to standards, thereby advancing system interoperability. Creating evaluation procedures for testing and inspecting DSRC devices, and building and deploying systems, requires input from various groups. This includes a thorough survey that includes toll and road operators, systems integrators, auto OEMs, and others.
